With the increase in the number of internet-enabled embedded devices, the requirements for an end-to-end secure communication must also be included within the devices. The advent of Wireguard, a modern secure VPN protocol, shows a potential to satisfy this requirement, enhance the privacy of the Internet of Things, while still keeping a low resource profile, which is desirable for the constrained devices.
