The advent of Wireguard, a modern secure VPN protocol, shows a potential to satisfy this requirement, enhance the privacy of the Internet of Things, while still keeping a low resource profile, which is desirable for the constrained devices. The work of this thesis is to provide an implementation of Wireguard for GNRC - an IoT network stack, and evaluate the benefits that Wireguard bring to the Internet of Things field |
