In accordance, with this trend this research investigates the feasibility of creating EDM electrodes by electroplating SLA (3D printing using materials) components. After conducting a survey based on existing literature it was found that the practicality of electroplating SLA printed parts for manufacturing EDM electrodes has not been widely explored. This research aims to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of using techniques, on Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printed parts to improve the properties and performance of EDM electrodes. This research focuses on evaluating the method applied to electrodes produced using SLA printing for Sinker EDM uses. The study involves six steps; defining specifications, designing, developing CAD models, 3D printing, electroplating and gathering and analyzing data. Additionally, the fabrication process of the electrodes takes into consideration technical requirements, like conductivity, durability and accuracy. By utilizing the advantages of SLA 3D printing technology, this research aims to overcome the drawbacks associated with fabrication methods like material waste and high production costs |
