Title: Omni-channel supply chains literature review and case study in Vietnam
Authors: Pham Nguyen Yen Nhi
Keywords: Omni-channel;Supply chains;Vietnam
Issue Date: 2023
Abstract:
Retailing environments are changing dramatically as the importance of internet sales grows, and traditional stores take on new responsibilities. Customers benefit from integrated and smooth interactions across channels in omni-channel retailing. This study examines how retailers conduct their operations in an omni-channel environment and how their supply chain system adapts to changing client demands. The design options and performance of supply chain drivers are critical in determining how an omni-channel supply chain meets client demands. The literature review aims to shed light on the logistics aspects of an omni-channel approach in the retailing industry, the increasingly complex distribution nodes and routes, and the matters of
inventory management in the distribution network. Despite the clear sight of transformation in the supply chain sectors in advanced countries, the emergence of omni-channel strategy in emerging countries brings obstacles to retail firms to transform accordingly to the market requirements of the omni-channel world.
