The trend of green consumption has led to an increase in corporate greenwashing in Vietnam. A number of businesses are using the idea of greenwashing to deceive consumers in order to increase sales. A typical greenwashing case in Vietnam is VEDAN Vietnam which always shows a good company image with effective CSR implementations to the public but it did cause serious consequences to the surrounding environment and the local residents. To promote green consumption and prevent businesses from greenwashing, consumers need to be conscious and wisely choose brands and products that are truly environmentally friendly |
