It is very hard to find a professional industry that does not benefit from making its data more understandable. The benefits from making data easier to understand is undeniable for every field we can think of, from finance, marketing, history, services, sports, and so on. And as the age of “Big Data” is kicking in, the role of data visualization is becoming clearer and clearer everyday. It is the key tool to help people to have a greater level of understanding about data with trillion and trillion rows generated daily. It is the story that is told from a different view by transforming data into an easier form to understand. In short, a visual summary of data makes it easier to identify trends and patterns than looking at thousands of rows on a spreadsheet. Even if we can pull the information out without visualization, it will be more difficult to transfer the data’s meaning without visualization. Charts and graphs worth more than a thousand words |
