| dc.description.abstract | This thesis presents the review of low voltage AC MG systems in connection with distributed generation (DG) units using renewable energy sources (RESs), BESS, 12VDC-220VAC inverter and loads. Possible control schemes and protection methods used in AC microgrids will be discussed. A typical LVAC microgrid having the PV system, the BESS and the loadsimulated in PSCAD is given to explain how the protection system works. | en_US |
