Abstract: 
This thesis decribes the implementation of an audio compression algorithm for wireless microphone systems. This is based on the researches of Christian Langen ablout building an audio compression algorithm based on wavelet theories with an ultralow latency. The algorithm had been implemented in C language for Blackfin BF537 DSP. In this thesis the C code is emhanced by adding dither, then the whole algorithm will be implemented in Matlab/Simulink environment with an S-Function
