| dc.description.abstract | Nghia Nippers Corporation (NNC) is the market leader in Vietnam for nippers and accessories concerning beauty care products. Their products have appeared in approximately 20 countries worldwide. With more than 1600 workers working 2 shifts per day, 3 different factories of NNC produce more than 10 million products of 20 models per year. The company currently uses the batch production with a push method and is facing the problem of low throughput, low machine utilization, high inventory and high manufacturing lead time. NNC hence has a demand for orienting their production activities towards Lean Manufacturing to cope with this problem. Apply Lean Manufacturing using value stream mapping to visualize the future state with a pull system then simulation is employed to verify if the future state has shown improvement on throughput, machine utilization, buffer size and manufacturing lead time at a factory of NNC. | en_US |
