Therefore, the need of improving the efficiency of Garment Factory now becomes the need for the suppliers as well as the customers. Accessory Warehouse and Hanger Line System play an essential role in Garment factory. Well-organized and process-standardized in Accessory Warehouse bring around 15-20% reduction for the Garment factory. On the other hand, “Hanger Line System” increases the asset utilization and productivity by reducing transportation wastes, real-time monitoring Work-In-Process (WIP) for each operation and visualizing the worker efficiency. However, with the 1.5 times larger in width and length, the HL’s efficiency needs to reach 125% efficiency. This Master Thesis will concentrate on improving the capacity of the Warehouse and the Hanger Line System. This research is cooperated with Esprinta Vietnam Ltd, Song Than 2 Industrial Park from September to December 2017. The Thesis structure is organized as follows: the introduction initially gives a current situation of the Hanger Line System and Warehouse at Esprinta, the informatics structure/layout of the production plant as well as the working principle at here. Then, the initial ideas are raised with the advantages and the reason behind. Afterward, the literature research is conducted to analyze and appraise the idea base on Lean theories. In the next section, the implementation is divided into 4 minor steps: Observation and Determination, Working schedule and Measuring, Data analyze, and Solution and Monitoring. These 4 steps are operated with Quality Management Tools in other to ensure the quality while the processes are optimizing. Finally, the result will be collected to evaluate the outcome of the project. Because of the lack of time, not all solutions have been applied yet. However, with the help of simulation tool (Tecnomatix Plant Simulation), we can estimate the final result of the whole project. Finally, economic aspects will be evaluated to consider applying all the Hanger Line System at Esprinta. This project is supposed to increase the worker capacity at least 8 times and increase 15% of the Hanger Line System efficiency. |
