Participation in the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economy Partnership Agreement (TPP) has posed a huge challenge for Vietnam’s labor. Vietnam’s workers will have to compete with a labor force of high quality from other countries and the need to train more skilled to be able to meet the needs of businesses. In Vietnam, the manufacturing industry is characterized by the assembly and food processing factories. The majority of these factories use unskilled labor for their production activities. They often apply short-term training courses in two weeks for their workers to perform simple tasks and have a high repeat frequency. Low wages, leaving or job hopping, temporary labor shortages are common situations. A fact that high levels of qualification of workers is fundamental to the quality of products, flexibility in production with the rapid pace of change and the diversity of products available today. This requires a significant increase in learning and teaching productivity as well as new approaches for training and education. This thesis presents a new training method based on the blended learning concept for workers in an assembly industry.en_US
