In order to model with the Finite Element Method (FEM) an induction heat process used in industry, material’s physical properties like thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat have to be investigated. Therefore, corresponding material models were considered in order to complete Maxwell equations and solve them with the FEM. Since the sample to be investigated is belong to the category of ferromagnetic material, there is singularities of the physical values near the Curie temperature. These singularities can only be dealt with modern theories which make the calculation process difficult. In this thesis, the theories relate to those parameters were reviewed in order to find a suitable material model for FEM. In addition, the experimental data was analyzed embedded into simulation. The modelling shows the differences between the results achieved from the model with polynomial curve fitting and the new model function derived from theory.en_US
