dc.description.abstractPeer-to-peer lending can be considered as a successful Fintech in the lending sector of the financial system. First appeared in 2005, till now, with the benefits and convenience it has brought, P2P lending has entered many markets worldwide with rapid growths. Given the success of peer-to-peer lending worldwide, this paper aims to assess the potential of a Vietnamese peer-to-peer lending market. It is done by deriving factors contributing to the ripe of peer-to-peer lending market in the US, the UK, and China and analyzing the Vietnamese market based on them. Additionally, the culture has significant impacts on the success of this new industry. The results show that the potential of Vietnam is not clear due to early stage of peer-to-peer lending companies as well as the Vietnamese culture.en_US
