Title: | Parallel magnetic resonance imaging - methods and algorithms | Authors: | Nguyen Thi Kieu Khanh | Keywords: | Parallel magnetic resonance imaging; Methods and algorithms | Issue Date: | 2018 | Publisher: | Vietnamese-German University | Abstract: | In the field of technology and medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has created a revolution in image diagnosis. Objects are photographed based on the magnetic resonance phenomenon of the nucleus in the tissue. However, MRI still has a big drawback that is quite long measurement time. Because MRI technology requires the patient to remain motionless for a long time, which leads to difficulty in requiring the patient to hold the breath to record blood vessel or keep the child quiet, difficulty in gathering accurate signals over time. This is a motivation for scientists to increase speed in MRI by developing parallel MRI (pMRI) area. In pMRI, instead of using a coil, phrased arrayed coils system is used to receive signals from each coil at once. Each coil corresponds to a part of the object that we wish to receive the image. However, by this way we can exploit redundancy data to improve the speed of the final image acquisition. The objective of this thesis is to present image reconstruction methods and especially evaluate further the GRAPPA Algorithm. It is an efficient and applicability method to reconstruct images based on sparse sampling signals according of k-space approach. Simulation experiments in our research show that the implemented GRAPPA method is efficient in terms of image recovery, reducing under-sampling Gibbs ringing. In addition, a signal-to noise analysis is provided in this thesis. |
