Image segmentation after human brain is an interesting thesis project, it helps me expand my knowledge in the image processing field and it also is a suitable project for someone who has no prior experience in the field. This thesis gives an overall sight of the process of the image segmentation. It focuses on segmenting images based on: K-means clustering and its upgraded algorithm based on the hierarchical clustering. A comparison between the two algorithms to see how much of an improvement can be made. However, the thesis also points out weaknesses of the algorithms and gives a possible development in algorithm in the future. The code is written and tested using the MATLAB software.en_US
