Global warming and energy policies have become a hot topic on the international agenda in the last year. Many developed countries are trying to reduce the emission of green-house gas. For example, the EU has commit to reduce the green-house gas emission at least 20% below 1990 levels and produce no less than 20% of its energy consumption from renewable settee by 20101u. With the increasing of global warming and other environmental issues, the development of renewable energy has been a growing critical topic in the 21" century. From the greater research, many renewable sources such as water, wind, geothermal and solar energy have become common for new electric power generation. Hence, solar energy is one of the most important renewable energy source that have been gaining increased attention in recent years. The convelion of solar energy. The object of this thesis is firstly review the operation of PV generation system. Then help the readers to gain knowledge about different MPPT algorithms. After that attempt to design the Maximum Power Point solar charge controller to increase the efficiency of a PV module. Also discussing the methodology of the design, the selection of components, system design and result during testing.en_US
