Title: Design and implementation of an IoT server room condition monitoring system
Authors: Nguyen Huynh Duy Anh
Keywords: IoT server room condition monitoring system;WeMos-D1R2;Temperature and humidity sensor SI7021
Issue Date: 2018
Publisher: Vietnamese-German University
Abstract:
The IoT Server Room Condition Monitoring System is a hardware – embedded – smartphone interface system whose implementation will allow for monitoring of the temperature and humidity in Server Room of Ascenx Technologies Vietnam.
The temperature in server rooms must be kept in suitable temperature and humidity to achieve optimal performance. Over or under heating might crash the server, reducing equipment life expectancy and heightening overall maintenance expenses. Currently, at Ascenx, staffs leave the server room under turned-on air-conditioners without any monitoring solution. A bachelor thesis for electrical engineering student was assigned to solve the problem, which is providing a system to remote monitor the temperature and humidity inside the server room. Besides, if the environment, temperature or humidity, reaches or outside of the set limitation, a phone notification and an email will be sent to specific people immediately.
