This project focuses only in constructing applied product and doesnt need to analyze or cover too much about theories. The mentioned system has the abilities to firstly automatically control the connected electric devices of a house to optimize working capability and to save energy. Moreover the automatic controlling ability of this system can also satisfy the desire of the users to make their life much easier, saving more time and avoiding other mishaps. Besides the ability to react with the environment automatically, this system can also receive orders from user and switch to manually control mode to execute the specific tasks but still remains the ability to return to the automatically control mode as normal. The two basic factors from environment that the system of this project obtains and processes are the value of brightness and the existence of human. This system will analyze those data and decide the working state of the monitored devices and the microcontroller itself. The devices controlled by the system are lamps and stepper motor for turning window blinds. After the success of building this system, it can be extended to add more kinds of sensors and control more devices than just the lamps and window blinds. The interaction between this system and user is accomplished by the application of voice recognition. Comparing to other method like using button or touchpad, controlling by giving speech gives the user a way to monitor the system more conveniently in the condition when the room is fully dark or the user has no free hand. Furthermore, giving a meaningful speech to control the house can avoid some unwanted orders compared to accidently pressing button or touching controlling pad. This might create an exciting experience and unique method for users to control their house, because they can set up the speech commands fitted with their desires. |
