| dc.description.abstract | This thesis is the implementation of an idea for the quad-copter air patrolling system. This system includes a quad-copter, Oculus Rift (a virtual reality head-mounted display headset developed by an American virtual reality technology company named Oculus VR) license plate recognition module executed on the computer and a stabilized camera. The system aims at controlling the quad-copter flying stably at the distance range from 0.5 to 1.5 meter from the ground while carrying a camera that provides a stable live-stream video. The whole system is controlled via the Oculus Rift goggles. Users will wear the Oculus Rift google on their heads and will be able to observe the scene view from the exactly same point of view as that of the camera; control the flying direction of the quad-copter using the head movements. Whilst navigating on the sky, if a Vietnamese motorbike license plate is in the field of view of the camera, it is going to be localized and if needed, the license plate recognition module will be performed to extract information regarding the owner of the vehicle. The system has many important applications in the field of the traffic control. | en_US |
