dc.description.abstractWind energy generator is an interesting topic related to renewable energy and power electronics. The main aim of this project is to study about the configuration, operation and control of wind turbine using Double-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). The progress of conducting this project begins by studying and understanding general knowledge of induction generator and AC-DC-AC converter in order to figure out the working of DFIG based wind energy generation system. We use Matlab to simulate the operating system of DFIG for studying its control method. Besides, the simulation results give us the deeply knowledge of the partial operation of wind generation system using DFIG. We also have observation that the system can run effectively in case of not only variable wind speeds but also variable electric faults.en_US
