C Machines as Generator and Motor were used above all in isolated Operation. The possibility to realize solutions with small space and with only one source, mostly a battery, promotes the use in cars and other means of transportation. Isolated grids of photovoltaic applications are common and useful at remote places. The Output Voltage at the Terminals of DC Generators is easily controlled by means of the Excitation Voltage and the number of turns (Speed). DC Motors are easily controlled, too. The linear dependency from Armature and Excitation Voltage is a great advantage. By the Armature Voltage effect, the reversal of Speed is easy to realize. The changing of the Armature Resistance has influence on the gain of the Characteristics and the Inrush Current. The Dynamic Behavior follows e-functions. Work plan: - Summary of the equations and description of the Static and Dynamic Behavior - Determination of the Magnetic Behavior of DC Machines - Measuring of the characteristics of the machine in generator and motor Operation - Automatic construction of characteristics - Control from External Source and Experiment of the Dynamic behavioren_US
