This thesis addresses the challenges of disassembly in remanufacturing, which is a critical step in the circular economy to extend product lifecycles and recover valuable components. Traditional disassembly processes, often manual and inflexible, struggle to handle variability in product types, conditions, and fluctuating return volumes. Most factory planning methodologies focus on assembly rather than disassembly, creating a gap in adaptive solutions for disassembly operations. This research proposes a factory planning method that prioritizes adaptability, offering a framework to enhance disassembly system flexibility. The concept is validated through a case study on the disassembly of household washing machines, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving operational flexibility in remanufacturingen_US
