dc.description.abstractThis thesis develops a holistic approach toward the reduction of carbon footprints in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Vietnam, in line with national and international regulations. The research critically assesses global standards such as the GHG Protocol and practices adopted by leading global pharmaceutical companies, while also identifying challenges faced by the Chinese and Indian pharmaceutical industries. The thesis then uses a case study of Medochemie (Far East) Ltd. to demonstrate practical measures for emissions reduction, with a particular focus on solar power and Scope 2 emission reduction. The work bridges the gap between global best practices and local applicability, outlining a roadmap for sustainable manufacturing in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industryen_US
