| dc.description.abstract | The reason of the research is to evaluate the affect of Japan’s ODA on the economic growth of SA countries using POLS, RE and FE method. This study will further consider the development of SA region in different countries specifically according to different countries characteristics ODA, or Official Development Assistance, refers to financial government assistance that aim for economic and social development in emerging countries, in terms of commitments (low-interest loans with extended repayment date) or grants (humantarian aids without return enquiry). As it has been the primary solution to provide supports to developing countries, in 2023, the aggregation donation from donors reached an all-time high of 223.7 billion USD (OECD, 2024). It is believe to benefit both the recipient and the provider countries since it funds the capital need to fulfill costly projects that benefits developing countries in long-term. The donor side receive beneficials from specific requirements that ensure recipient countries to purchase goods and services from the loan providers under the rule of “tied aid” Japan is the fourth-biggest ODA providers worldwide, similar to its economy size ranking in 2024 accounting in real term. It provided 19.6 billion USD worth of foreign aids in 2023 (OECD, 2024).
