dc.description.abstractThis work focuses specifically on an LMS for university students. It examines the role of GitHub Copilot, an AI code assistant, in enhancing the front-end development process of web applications. This study's standard front-end development tools and frameworks include Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript, and the React framework. The thesis evaluates the AI tool’s impact across two of the four critical software engineering process activities: development and evolution. The objective of this thesis is to examine how developers utilize AI technology to improve the productivity, process workflow, and products of developers through Agile development. The evaluation utilized the software metrics, specifically focusing on Lines of Code (LOC) analytics and the object quantity method. The results of this thesis indicate that AI contributes over 50% to the code generation process based on the task requirements of the developers. AI tools significantly improve the definition and development processes by generating essential artifacts, such as code snippets and documents. However, the output from these tools necessitates substantial modification by experienced developers to meet the quality standards and project specificationsen_US
