dc.description.abstract | This thesis is about an automotive manufacturing corporation, Mercedes-Benz, which has been present in the Vietnam market as well as Asian and European nations, making a significant contribution to the market's growth and becoming one of the top automobile manufacturers in the globe. However, the expanding market demand and the group's objective to save cost operation on gasoline vehicle manufacturing put MercedesBenz Vietnam (MBV) constantly in a condition of continuous growth and improvement. In 2022, productivity in production lines such as Body Shop, Assembly, End of Line, and Finish Line has not yet met the factory's target. Therefore, MBV launched the Standardization and Continuous Improvement project to enhance production. The thesis explicitly explores the challenge that the firm is experiencing via data analysis and the use of Lean principles. By applying Lean expertise such as Yamazumi, Waste Analysis, 5S, Process standardization, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), PDCA, and Pareto Charts to identify the heart of the problem, MBV can rebalance the line and subsequently boost the productivity of the business | en_US |
