dc.description.abstractThese states can be described via continuum mechanics and thermodynamics, with the aid of material internal variables and material parameters. This paper aims at providing a miniature study on a one-dimensional elasto-viscoplastic material with isotropic hardening under microstructure evolution, particularly focusing on how material parameters would influence on the material behaviour. In this paper, we first have an overview of the general theory that prescribes the phenomenon as well as coming up with the evolution equations of the internal variables. We then propose a computational approach which is based on the Forward-Euler scheme that can be applied on the equations that come along with the theory. Finally, we investigate separately the material parameters in a certain range, which will be mentioned later, and have a small discussion on the influence of each parameter alongen_US
