This paper investigates the application of data mesh principles in fostering a resilient global food supply chain, with a focus on a coffee trading company as a case study. The research delves into the challenges faced by the company, including transparency, traceability, and data collaboration across the supply chain. By adopting a data mesh approach, the company seeks to decentralize data ownership and empower domain experts to drive data-driven decision-making. Core aspects such as domain-oriented decentralized architecture, federated data governance, and data product thinking are examined within the context of the coffee trading industry. The findings illuminate the potential advantages of embracing data mesh in bolstering supply chain resilience and promoting collaboration among stakeholders in the global food sector.en_US
