Title: Insurance companies facing a world health crisis a qualitative study on crisis management practices of the insurance sector in Vietnam, responding to Covid-19
Authors: Pham Ha Minh Tam
Keywords: Crisis management practices;Insurance sector;COVID-19
Issue Date: 2023
Abstract:
Without a doubt, the Coronavirus epidemic 2019 has wrought havoc on the global population, plunging economies and putting human lives at stake. Amidst all, the insurance sector as a whole appears to be unaffected. The purpose of this paper is set out to investigate the underlying factors that contributed to the survival of the insurance industry in Vietnam following COVID-19. Along with proper crisis management
procedures, the digitalization of insurance, and the unique notion that twenty-first-century catastrophes possess, the insurance sector finds itself among a set of circumstances that promote growth like no other. Therefore, a literature analysis of previous crisis management frameworks is conducted, followed by a thorough examination of the context of modern crises to determine the most appropriate approaches. In addition, a qualitative research segment with professionals should address any questions that have arisen
regarding this topic.
