| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to design and additive manufacturing a magnetic "compliant mechanism" grasping system for picking up single metallic items. To begin, provide an overview and explanation of the magnetic compliance mechanism gripping system. The reasons for designing a magnetic compliant mechanism gripper and why it was chosen over another method. Second, the state of the art in compliant mechanisms and additive manufacturing will be discussed, as well as a quick introduction to magnets. Additionally, additional patents with a similar objective that were discovered are offered as ideas for enhancing functionality | en_US |
