Title: The business model canvas: analysis and application
Authors: Pham Le Kim Long
Keywords: Business model concepts;Describe;Analyze;Business model
Issue Date: 2021
Publisher: Vietnamese-German University
Abstract:
This thesis aims to achieve three goals. Firstly, it introduces business model concepts. Next, the paper aims to describe and analyze a Business Model Canvas (BMC) -a visual tool that helps entrepreneurs turn business ideas into business models. The nine blocks of the Canvas business model represent the four main aspects of a business (customers, values, facilities, and financial viability), including Customer Segments, Value Propositions, Channels, Customer Relationships, Revenue Streams, Key Resources, Key Activities, Key Partnerships and Cost Structure. Finally, it helps readers apply Business Model Canvas to analyze and understand specific business models by building and applying nine key elements of Canvas Business Models for their companies through the case study of Vinamilk. By using information collected from Vinamilk's annual report and website and then applying that information to the nine essential elements of the Canvas model, this paper has clearly described and classified Vinamilk's business model. The results of Vinamilk's case study will present applications of Business Model Canvas.
