In the past decades, the shift from the manufacturing economy to the knowledge economy, rapid technological advancement, and the Coronavirus pandemic have contributed to the disruptive increase in the rate of companies that allow options for teleworking. Many studies suggest that teleworking has plenty of benefits that outweigh the traditional in-office working style. However, some organizations are still resisting to adopt this type of work or struggling to run their remote organization. Because teleworking is predicted to be more prevalent in the future, organizations have to implement it effectively to survive. Therefore, using the documentary analysis method, this paper will discuss the factors that determine the effective implication of telework while addressing the problems companies face. To narrow the scope of the study, this paper is going to focus on small to medium enterprises only.en_US
