The main context of this thesis is to aim at the influence of the solid content on the droplet behavior of silicic acid in the compressed carbon dioxide. The analysis could be obtained with the droplet dimension based on the acquired experimental data in the high-pressure plant. The aerogel fabrication in this high-pressure plant could be considered as a novel and unique technique. The pH values of the silicic acid are shifted over the gelation point and brought back by the compressed carbon dioxide as a reactant catalyst in the fabricating process. Due to the limited time of the exchange semester, the production of aerogels would consequently pause at the wet gel stage for analyzing the droplet dimension. For the dimension measurement, a digital microscope with integrated the real-time 2-dimensional feature is put into the concern to obtain the precise dimension of wet gel droplets. The diminution in the droplet’s dimensions has been observed through experiments with decreasing the solid content of the silicic acid. The accuracy of this work is verified and compatible with the existing theory from the literature. Subsequently, this would open the gate to further investigation in the aerogel production under the influence of the silicic acid’s solid contents.-
