Title: Assessing the innovation that embarks on the journey leading to prosperity in middle income countries
Authors: Tran Thi Thu Thao
Keywords: Sustainable development goals;Innovation policy;Middle income countries
Issue Date: 2020
Abstract:
The paper seeks an adequate answer for the positive correlation of innovation growth and nations' propensity, especially in middle income countries, by concentrating on macro indicators and theoretical studies. It is a common assumption that middle income countries lag behind in terms of the ability to innovate, access and use technologies. Nowadays, high-income countries are no longer the only enjoying the privilege of triggering innovation. The paper will show the rise of ‘the rest’ in catching up technological frontier. Moreover, the paper mentions how these economies will meaningfully design and implement effective policies and practices to take the lead in innovation growth in the future
