At the beginning of 2020, all organizations and people around the world have suffered from the outbreak of the COVID-19. The coronavirus is not only a health crisis, but it is also a pandemic disruption in the production of supply chain (SC). Many organizations with complex SC network designs become more vulnerable in disruptions. This is a good time for all organizations to revisit the sustainability and vulnerability of their SC networks. Disruption events adversely affect both demand and supply side, which is the reason for various types of uncertainty. Although dual sourcing is one of the effective mechanisms to mitigate supply risk, there also some conditions need to be investigated and the negative impacts of demand uncertainty are needed to be estimated at the early period. This paper focuses on the impacts of disruption risk on the performance of manufacturers in SC networks through historical events and extant researches, practices, and relevant literature to tailor the mitigation strategies or quick response to the disruption risks. The efficiency of dual-sourcing SC system is analyzed by comparing the expected profit with single-sourcing. Moreover, the order policy is also analyzed to improve SC performance-
