Title: | High efficiency MPPT charging battery and power switching system | Authors: | Vo Ha Trung | Keywords: | MPPT;Solar power;Renewable energy resources;Battery;Environment;Microcontroller;Power switching system | Issue Date: | 2016 | Publisher: | Vietnamese-German University | Abstract: | Solar power becomes more and more popular because of its renewable characteristic. The solar panels can receive power from sun and convert it into electric power. For the purpose of reusing these valuable and eternity power source, the Solar – battery system is needed for reserving and storing the system from sun. By knowing the needs, this thesis is established to find the most effective solution to charge a battery system with a solar panel system with the help of power switching system. The core of this project is to see how the smart charging with solar power can affect the endurance of the sealed lead acid battery due to long term usage. So that we can maintain the quality of the battery and hence reduce the battery waste each year. Below are all the topics which are my contributions in this project. It is the best if all of those topics can be grouped into one master thesis. Otherwise the title could be long because of many small systems inside the project. The detail is mentioned and highlighted in the proposal. I also have included my milestone and schedule for the implementation of this pilot situation. The main subjects which consumes most of the time are the solar power controller and the power switching algorithm. |
