Besides participate in huge part in the automotive industry, sport wear … industry molding is also heavily affected to medical device production. Therefore, the product quality is always the first factors that manufacturer need to concern. Since technologies rapidly changes, the quality problems are also diversified. Including in each problem are several complicated cause, which need one or several counter-action to control it. Normally, in order to deal with those complex problems, people tend to acquire the knowledge and apply that experience to solve. To solve the problem separately, many methods are introduced to be useful. However, do people use those tools with highest efficiency is still the question for the researcher until now. Along the arise of problem complexity, further concerned is do we have complete system strategies to cope with several types of problem, for which we do not need extra time to identify the way to accomplish it. This study is conducted mainly for clarifying the approach to solve the quality problem, especially for the injection molding industry. One of the most powerful and useful tools to achieve solutions for the scientific problems is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). By definition, FMEA is the tool which fully identify the potential failures that might occur to the given product by causes from production design or manufacturing process, as well as its effect to the system end-user, and much important, the root cause of defect. However, the implementation of the FMEA into analyzing and discovering the problem in injection molding industry is not a straightforward road, since problems getting more and more sophisticated. Therefore, FMEA with a combination of supporting tools is suggested to be a smart solution, to analyze the potential reliability and give out quick action and failure mitigation. To every product development, Quality management and control at the early stage play an important role in deciding the value of one product. However, to get used to applying Quality management with high effectiveness is not the straightforward road. This research will give clear guidance of the phenomenon of useful quality management tools, as well as the way to properly use and combine those tools to achieve best product quality. The objective of this research is to define and set up the process to efficiently detect the potential failures that can be occurred during factory mass production in shoe manufacturing. Therefore, based on those findings, this research will conduct the optimum way to solve the complicated scientific problem. |
