Title: | Analyzing and implementing revision of ISO 9001:2015 for shoe manufacturing | Authors: | Quan Minh Quoc Dat | Keywords: | ISO 9001:2015;Shoe production | Issue Date: | 2017 | Publisher: | Vietnamese-German University | Abstract: | With the commitment of sustainability and continuous improvement for quality management system (QMS), the shoe manufacturing industry is taking part in ISO 9001 to meet customer’s requirement and enhance customer’s satisfaction. ISO 9001 belongs to ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) which is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). ISO 9001 has versions for each period and each version will be out of date after 10 years, the current version 9001-2008 will be ended before Sep 2018 and it will be replaced by ISO 9001-2015. Therefore, the necessity of revision from 2008 to 2015 is also the obligation to shoe manufacturing which ISO certificate is valid until 14 Sep 2018. Within this thesis scope, initiation, planning, implementation, evaluation, improvement and audit following PDCA cycle are the methodology for enabling the seamless transformations from ISO 9001-2008 to ISO 9001-2015, assuring the effectiveness and efficiency of quality management system and finally achieving the certificate for conforming ISO 9001-2015 from TÜV Rheinland. With a myriad of benefits, ISO 9001-2015, however, still at an early age of development in Vietnam. Being one of the architects in building the QMS alongside opportunities for applying the skills as well as knowledge about quality management learned from VGU to industrial environment would be the utmost motivation. Furthermore, another motivation could be chances to communicate with the talented people in all relevant departments shoe manufacturing companies for meeting, deploying plans and implementing the revision of ISO 9001-2015. The objective of this thesis is to master how to pave the way for implementing typical revisions of ISO 9001:2015 towards QMS in a shoe manufacturing company, then evaluation and finally receiving the certificate from TÜV Rheinland for the adaptability, effectiveness and efficiency of the QMS. |
