dc.description.abstract | CNC-based machines have been used in many applications in large-scale industrial businesses. These machines, in conjunction with control systems, significantly improve efficiency. Simultaneously, smaller firms such as hobbyists, semi-professionals, and even students sought solutions for small-scale and portable CNC machines. This paper explains the process of designing and creating a 3-axis CNC milling machine operated by a personal computer and fits the needs of a small-scale and diverse range of milling capabilities. The machine is designed in a vertical position with a close frame structure. It is built with aluminum extrusion profiles to obtain a rigid body frame construction. The Mach3 software serves as the project's human-machine interface. This machine design is more precise since the servo motor is a far superior to the stepper motor, enhancing efficiency and versatility | en_US |
