dc.description.abstract | Maritime transportation is one of the key industries in Vietnam and has experienced significant growth in recent decades. The thesis aims to explain some reasons why foreign shipping companies have taken a major portion of the domestic maritime sector, whereas, Vietnamese shipping lines have a limited capacity of providing long routes outside Asia. Among lots of highlighted activities of the logistics process such as transportation, warehousing, packing, and inventory management, this study investigates some factors that affect transportation, especially in container transport chains. With the emphasis on the leading container shipping company Saigon Newport Cooperation at Cat Lai Port, the investigation about the performance of logistic services of this state-owned enterprise is carried out to clarify the difficulty and the level of competitive pressure from both internal and external challenges. | en_US |
