Title: | Implementing fine-grained access control in blockchain-based applications. a survey and case-study | Authors: | Nguyen Ho Tat Dat | Keywords: | Access control;Blockchain-based applications | Issue Date: | 2020 | Abstract: | In computer security, access control is a crucial component of data security. Access control is a technique used to assure that individuals are who they say they are (Authentication) and have the right to access particular resources (Authorization). Access control for the data and information stored in databases is significantly growing for security and privacy purposes. The current standard SQL language for access control is coarse-grained, in that it grants access to all rows of a table or none at all [1]. However, it is essential for security matters to go further, not only tables or columns level but also rows level or even cells level. Then, it has come with the term FineGrained Access Control (FGAC), which provides greater control of the circumstances over which privileges are granted. The second part of this thesis is to implement FineGrained Access Control in the Back-end of the decentralized application and analyze it. |
